Cut from 100% linen in a washed sky blue, the Flying Home midi dress is built around the Richelieu technique — one of the most demanding forms of handmade cutwork embroidery, in which sections of fabric are precisely cut away and finished by hand, leaving geometric folk motifs that seem to float against the cloth.

 The cutwork covers the full skirt and the voluminous bishop sleeves — large-scale interlocking forms in tonal blue and copper, each edge outlined with contrasting hand embroidery.

A motif that reveals itself slowly.  The round neckline is gathered using the traditional Ukrainian Zbiranka technique, finished with galvanised gold beads and hand-tied tassels. The sleeves are shaped with Pukhlyk detailing — a folk method that builds structured volume without stiffening the drape. A self-tie belt defines the waist.
