FOBERINI

Ukrainian Contemporary Vyshyvanka · Cultural Talisman
📍 Kyiv, Ukraine
Modern Vyshyvanka Pykhlyky · Zbyranky Natural Fabrics Limited Runs

Since 2014, FOBERINI has translated ancient Ukrainian embroidery traditions into contemporary wearable art. The name combines "family" and "oberi" (guardian), reflecting the belief that each embroidered pattern carries ancestral meaning.

Each piece requires thousands of meters of thread and weeks of handwork, using traditional techniques such as pykhlyky and zbyranky. Collections are produced in limited runs using natural fabrics — linen, cotton, silk.

Presented at Washington Fashion Week and featured in L'Officiel Ukraine, FOBERINI stands for slow fashion, cultural identity, and garments created as lasting art objects.

Cultural Mission
Collaborates with artisan communities across Ukraine to preserve and reinterpret regional embroidery. The vyshyvanka becomes a contemporary symbol of identity, femininity, and cultural resistance.
