Rooted in the Pietrosita weaving tradition of Dâmbovița County in Southern Romanian The Loom Handicraft Cooperative  Arta  consolidates a regional heritage of textile production dating back to the 19th century, when covoare were traded across Muntenia and major Romanian cities.

The cooperative connects ateliers across mountain villages, where skilled weavers produce fabrics and garments on traditional floor looms, preserving techniques passed down through generations.

From handwoven blouse fabric to traditional rugs, each piece reflects the distinct identity of Dâmbovița textiles — refined, structured, and deeply rooted in place.
